1 Introduction
A-life takes your privacy seriously. This privacy notice describes how and why we obtain, store and process data which can identify you. We may update this notice from time to time and shall indicate on the web site when changes have been made.
2 The Information we collect
Information is collected from you when you register with us, or when you contribute to or use some of the advanced features on the site. The information we collect is clearly set out on the web page on which we collect it. In addition, we may collect your IP address and use cookies unless you configure your web browser not to accept them. When you book for us to visit your school, at times we may collect personal email addresses and telephone numbers of the main contact, or the contact to meet on the day.
3 Why we collect it
We collect information about you so that we can personalise your use of the site, assist your use of the site and improve the site generally. When we collect personal email addresses, it is so that we can contact you directly to arrange the booking. If we collect a personal telephone number, it is used to make arrangements for and on the day. Personal email addresses will be kept securely so that we can contact you for the next booking, however, you have a right to have this deleted at any time by asking us in writing via email or letter. If we have collected a personal telephone number, this will be deleted within two weeks after visiting your school and will no longer be used unless we collect it again in future for the same purposes, at which time consent will also be obtained.
4 Lawful basis for collecting and processing personal data – consent
The lawful basis for us processing any personal data we hold on you is through obtained consent. The information we hold on schools is only information freely available through the public websites of a school. If you supply us with a personal email address or telephone number after we have contacted you via the school, you are giving us consent to process this data by the action of providing the data to us. By giving us your personal email address and telephone number, you are consenting to us using that data for the sole purposes of arranging and facilitating a booking. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us via email or letter, at which time we will securely dispose of any personal data held on you.
5 Who we disclose it to
5.1 We will only pass on information about you as an individual (as opposed to aggregate information) to third parties to enable us to perform services requested by you or with your prior consent.
5.2 We may also disclose or access your account if required to do so by law or by any Governmental body.
